About Us
University School of Sciences (USS) established in 2014 at Rayat-Bahra University is the academic home to a faculty and students with a diverse research portfolio in Sciences. The School offers B. Sc. Hons. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Agriculture, B. Sc. Physical Science and Life Sciences, and M. Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Applied Chemistry, Bio Statistics, Environmental Sciences, Botany adopting Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The programs at Doctorate levels are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Environmental Sciences, Botany. The School is harmony of experienced teaching methodologies accompanied by best in class infrastructure and state of art laboratories that supports and exhibits the practicality of the enriching syllabus. The University School of Sciences is well equipped to carry out both teaching and research through its various Departments.
Regardless of Academics & Career interests, these programs add value through specialized offerings & opportunities. The School encourages its students to participate in National & International workshops/Symposia/Conferences/Other scientific competitions to hone their skills in their respective fields.

To maintain this, the School has collaborated with renowned scientists and Industries and has designed the syllabi as a blend of core sciences & interdisciplinary sciences. It is my proud privilege to introduce the distinguished Department of Chemistry exploring in the field of Chemical sciences under rigorous, vibrant and innovative environment of Rayat Bahra University. Our aim is to implement appropriate education strategies and processes through a future-oriented curriculum using the adequate management and support by academically rich faculty and infrastructure.The most important objective of the Department of Chemistry has been the generation of talents, of young people committed to research and the improvement of the quality of chemistry teaching. To cater the need, department offers B.Sc. Chemistry Hons. at the undergraduate level, M.Sc. Chemistry at the postgraduate level and Ph.D. courses. Our curriculum is solid, rigorous and well-planned, based upon the choice based credit system (CBCS).
Promotion of research at undergraduate and graduate level is the salient feature of our department that fosters the interdisciplinary collaboration. The quality of research in the department is excellent with a fleet of sophisticated scientific equipments and excellent research infrastructure. Our department is active in many cutting-edge research fields, including green chemistry, nanochemistry, alternative fuels and environmental analysis with the involvement of faculty, students and research scholars.
The department is also involved in the promotion of science by organizing expert talks, seminars, conferences, and workshops at national and international level to inculcate scientific temperament in our students. In addition to academic excellence, we seek to exemplify, professionalism, diversity and integrity as a set of core values in our future chemists.
As growing discipline, chemistry is at the crossroads of many sciences, and placement opportunities for graduate chemistry students have always been better. We provide an interdisciplinary educational and research experience to our students with the building of a strong technical foundation so that they must be able to meet the needs of the various sectors including industry, research, education, and entrepreneurship. Our students have been blessed to secure a place in well-known pharmaceuticals, analytical and testing laboratories, research and educational institutes.

University School of Agriculture Sciences (USAS) has been established in Rayat Bahra University in the year 2016 with noble vision and mission. As we all know that Agriculture is backbone of Indian Economy. The future increase in Agricultural production in wake of growing demand has to be come through mainly productivity enhancement. Threats of food and nutritional security has to be met from declining and degrading natural resources like soil and water. Therefore, USAS lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied activities to overcome above said threats.USAS has well equipped labs, Wi-Fi connected lecture rooms and farms facility to conduct field experiments. USAS always strive towards the development of technologies that are economically affordable and relevant to small and marginal farms. Student, staff and faculty of USAS committed to serve humanity across the country and at International level for seeing bigger challenges ahead.

It requires great zeal and spirit to pursue sciences and it is evident that you’ve got it since you have made it this far. The Department provides any assistance possible to supplement your growth in this journey. I am sure this unique awe and positive energy of every individual shall inspire confidence in others. Your solid focus on objective, determined dedication, strong commitment and willingness to explore the facts will definitely lead you to the destination successfully.
The curriculum of all programmes offered by the Department aims to provide the proficiency and understanding to fulfil your interests in the world of Physics. The design of contents of the curriculum encourages and innovate the minds of students. We have adopted Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) of UGC in Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate levels. The students joining the Department at Undergraduate level learn the Physics from fundamental concepts to the techniques of observing the physical quantities computationally and experimentally, that describe the world, during three years. The students joining at Postgraduate level study the advanced courses and have choice to choose the field of their interest as a specialization in particular subject in second year. At Postgraduate level the students are trained to handle the problems in Physics from research point of view in the area of Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Astrophysics, Astronomy, Cosmology, Condensed Matter Physics, Applied Physics and Electronics. The training at Postgraduate level helps the students to qualify National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellow (NET/JRF) and State Eligibility Test (SET) in one hand, to define and complete the problem at PhD level well on time, on the other. The research work (PhD program) is carried out in nuclear structure, nuclear astrophysics and nano-science.
At the end I assure that the endeavour of our team of Faculty members moulds the students into remarkable young persons in the field of Physics. And I can proudly say that our students have been excelling in their field and serving the society in any way possible.

The School of Life Sciences has steadily progressed towards achieving academic excellence since its inception with the introduction of Infrastructural Facilities, Well-equipped Laboratories and Healthy Competitive atmosphere. The school gathered momentum with dedicated faculty and keen students and undoubtedly, their hard work and persistence laid a strong groundwork in nurturing the school to another level of brilliance.
Our curriculum is designed to fulfill the diverse interests of Life-Science students that resulted in excellence in teaching and research.
