About Us
University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences(USPS), formerly known as Rayat & Bahra Institute of Pharmacy (Estd. 2006) came into existence in 2014. The school is conveniently reachable from ‘The City Beautiful-Chandigarh’ and is home to professional courses namely, D. Pharm, B. Pharm,B. Pharm (Practice), M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics & Pharmacology) and Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences). The School is committed to educating the next generation leaders in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Research, and health care, ensuring safe, rational and cost-effective use of medicines.
The School’s vision is to impart professional education in Pharmaceutical Sciences and emerge as a leading center for Pharmaceutical Research on Pharmaceuticals at Molecular level. Present day society is in urgent need and expectations from Pharmaceutical care and to fulfill this mission, Rayat Bahra University Pharmacists are instructed in a way to become excellent Pharmacists.
There is a need to continually improve health care and this is achieved through research, discovering new medicines, understanding diseases, and creating new models of health care. Finally, health professionals have their foundations in service to society.
Our School provides services to maintain relevance, research facilities and the best Pharmaceutical training/research environment for students. The School regularly arranges student visits to R & D Labs, Pharmaceutical and allied Industries and herbal gardens. Students are placed for training into reputed Pharmaceutical Industries concerns so that they can learn the technical skills in a real-life scenario and reduce the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for a Pharmacist to keep pace with expectations of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The School has a state of art classroom and well maintained research labs infrastructure required for running Pharmacy courses. Highly qualified and dedicated teachers take care of the academic needs of students as well as mentor them for growth within the Pharmacy profession. Students regularly attend Industrial visits, Industrial training, National/International Conferences and Seminars/Workshops etc. The School has a well-maintained 24 Hrs central library housing printed books, journals, multimedia teaching kits, online e-library and e-journal facilities. Our alumni are well placed in national and multinational Pharmaceutical Industries, Hospitals, and Drug Inspectors with good remuneration.
In addition, the School provides need-based, merit-based scholarships, GPAT Special Classes and GPAT Mock Tests for students.USPS maintains a holistic system of education in Pharmaceutical sciences facilitating a conducive educational climate promoting extra-curricular skills for students, emphasizing positive work culture and teamwork.

PCI is committed to strengthen the pharmacist workforce which is able to meet the growing demands of the industry and community. As a step towards this direction PCI has build Digi-Pharmed with technical support of centre for data Governance, NIC, MeitY, Govt. of India. The Digi-Pharmed is going to be the single, simple, standard, source of services to empower all the stakeholders digitally in the Pharmacy education sector in the country.
The Digi-Pharmed shall cater to the needs of all the pharmacy educational institutes teaching various approved pharmacy courses with respect approvals and renewals and help improving and sustaining the quality of education. The entire approval process has been made transparent, objective and user-friendly by Digi-Pharmed. Digi-Pharmed also envisages becoming a source of knowledge bank for pharmacy education and research.
I take this opportunity to call upon all pharmacy institutions to make best use of DigiPharmed which has been developed in line with the vision of PCI and digital India and join hands with us in our endeavour to produce competent pharmacist workforce for the society.

The RBU School of Pharmaceutical Sciences is home to top-class faculty, dedicated students and innovative researchers co-habitively working toward improving research, multidisciplinary research, medications and medication-related health outcomes. Since its inception, our school has made enormous progress in meeting the needs of students and parents, concurrently exploring new frontiers in drug discovery and development, Pharmaceutical sciences, and translational preclinical research. We have a diverse mix of undergraduate, graduate, Postgraduate & P.h.D. students and faculty with expertise in different aspects of the Pharmacy profession.
At RBU School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, we value Innovation, Research, Care, Diversity and our Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Friends like you. We have a set of core values without which our school would be like any other school and we continue to grow and prosper.

My team of academic and non-teaching staff members takes every care that School produces competent Pharmacy professionals.
Our Students are actively participating and presenting their research in National/International Conferences, Workshop, Seminars in India as well as Abroad and they won the lots of awards.
